Hi! Welcome to a brand new edition of the Weekly Review. It’s really exciting to be sharing with you the activities and interesting things that took place in my life the previous week. As customary, these post will soon include snapshots and image selections from my Instagram. There will be an updated WR here next Tuesday. Don’t miss it!
As soon as March started, I felt a strong desire to go through certain spots in my house where clutter had gradually accumulated. Tackling those trouble areas with relative ease reinvigorated the rather stagnant phase I went through during the winter months. It seemed like a weight had been lifted all of a sudden. Had the planets and the stars finally rearranged themselves favorably, perhaps? My energy was aligning with the universe and there was no stopping me. The more I purged, the better I felt.
Driven by the positive results I was swiftly achieving, my decluttering pursuits soon progressed into larger undertakings in other areas of the home. Mimicking the “Energizer” bunny, I just kept going! This was no ordinary check up. Trust me, I tend to be quite on top of my belongings on a regular basis. It’s the way I roll! When I see something out of place or taking valuable real estate without a good enough reason to justify it, to the donation bin it goes. I’m ruthless in that regard. With so much momentum building up, quitting right there and then was not an option. I was ready to let go of as many superfluous things as possible and I was determined to find them.
So far, I had successfully graduated from smaller jobs such as individual drawers, storage boxes, cupboards, and even shelving. Since there was no shortage of stamina, the next logical step was to quickly begin plowing through bookcases and entire closets. I was not going to let any gifted eyesore or useless tchotchke hide from me! My motto is the following: If I don’t love it, I don’t want it around me. It’s that simple.
The tidying up process was very enjoyable. So much so that I became immersed in what I call an organizing frenzy. I loved it! One week later, my home looks cleaner and neater. Living in it is now considerably more rewarding because with less stuff, it is easier to maintain. Prior to this highly effective tactical decluttering maneuver, I already had gathered a sizable amount of donations in a corner of my dining room. All sorts of random articles were waiting to be taken to the local charity. Given the number of items added to that already hefty pile, driving my car to the nearby town of La Grange won’t do it. For this many things, I’m going to need the pick up truck!
Last week, besides getting my house in order, I also felt the urge to look into planners for next year. Even though I checked multiple sites, I ended up making my purchases once again at kikki.K. To my surprise, this beloved Australian brand of mine was advertising an enticing sale. Needles to say, the 20% off promotional discount applied at checkout sealed the deal. My first choice was the 2021 A5 Sweet Weekly Family Diary Sage: Woodland. The functional 6-column format and overall cuteness were hard to resist. The 2021 A5 Weekly Diary Mist Grey: Inspiration also made the shopping cart. Its compact weekly layout on one page and the adjacent partitioned planning section caught my attention immediately. In a single sheet, there is space for top priorities, weekly goals, to dos, daily gratitudes, dinner plans, and habits.
Twenty twenty-one is moving fast and I thought I would reinforce the attainment of my goals by reviewing them beginning this month of March. I still have time to work on my priority list, so why not get ahead of the game while I feel compelled to do so? Wouldn’t you agree? For this purpose, I decided to enlist the extremely thorough and strictly down to business Goal Crazy 90 Day Undated Planner & Journal. I’m serious about accomplishing my objectives and this planner should help me stay on target. The key is to utilize it exactly as intended… every single day. Since I received it within two days of buying it, I wasted no time. It’s been put to use right away!
